Limnetic Oozes cool. There's a lot I could write about this, just listen to it. Between the amazing Skyjelly tracks and the darker psychedelic Solilians offerings, this is a wonderful release. A really beautiful record. - Limnetic Villains Favorite track: Skyjelly - Seein It (Vinyl).

EyesEverywhere No Favourite cause of the split thing but I'm really digging this.

Skyjelly do that rare thing of hitting a compelling groove that you never know what's going to happen next in the track. it's kind of like if Lee Scratch Perry had produced 'No New York'.

Solilians have their own distinct groove. Their music has space and an elegiac nature to the melodies. Chord sequences and song structures take unexpected turns and the arrangements are very well thought out. Tight rhythm section too.

Boston’s Skyjelly are a band who appreciate how a bit of lo-fi entropy fits into their songs. Echoed and barely intelligible vocals latch around the repetition for a while, then at three minutes a searing guitar solo melts your face right off. Solilians were birthed by a 2013 7” soundtrack that keyboardist Benjamin Malkin wrote for illustrator Ian Densford’s “super-powers tale sans violence” The Binah Comics, and originally included Soundpool and The Stargazer Lilies frontman John Ceparano (AKA J. Cep), who contributes bowed guitar to two tracks on Shin.
