Neurogami makes dance noise.
Neurogami merges harsh-desert ambient with electric mutant disco.
An avant-garage project of James Britt, Neurogami explores the intersection of rhythm and noise.
Back in late '70s New York City, James Britt formed a band in the percolating swirl of the downtown (post-) punk scene.
That band, Chinese Forehead, merged rock-steady beats and infectious hooks with a siren of dissonance.
Their posters, blasted across the walls of Lower Manhattan, proclaimed their sound (in the phrase they created) as "dance noise."
Fast-forward to a new century and the dance continues.
